  Stabaek are 2nd in the league, 14 points behind league leaders Bodo/Glimt and with just 4 games remaining cannot reach the summit but they will look to hold their promotion spot with a chasing pack of 4 teams just 5 points behind them. Goal difference may be a deciding factor come the final day and goals need to fly today against the worst team in the league. While we expect an easy home win we aren’t ruling out the chance of an Elverum goal, they have scored in 10 of this seasons 13 away fixtures and against a Stabaek side who constantly leak a goal /game should be looking for it. The last fixture ended 4-3 to Stabaek after an 89th minute winner, we don’t expect it to be this close but the goals are a given.

  6th place Slavia host struggling Taborsko today, a game with only 1 surly only one outcome! Slavia are unbeaten in 5 and have now won the last 2 game 3-0 and 5-0. Taborsko sit 20th with 9 points, just 2 off the foot and come into the match off of 3 straight defeats including a 4-1 to Pibram, a team similar in quality to today’s opponent. The last meeting ended 5-1 to Slavia who were away, they are much stronger at home and a -1.5 should be a sure thing.

  We are in the 4th game week and Kallithea sit 9th in the league following an average start to their campaign, their opponent, newly promoted Paniliakos are 4th right now and have won all 3 games but their fixture list has been very favourable and seen them pitted against last year’s relegation contenders Vyzas as well as 2 other teams who were promoted from the league below along with them. Today’s hosts have lost just 1 of the last 8 league fixtures played at home and we wouldn’t expect this run to end against a side they have never lost against.

  Both of these teams are your typical average Dutch sides, they can score plenty of goals but struggle to protect the ball from hitting the back of there net. Ajax reserves who have proven to be pretty unpredictable at times have scored 8 and conceded 9 away from home in their last 5 games. It’s hard to pick a winner between the 2 but goals galore is what we are expecting.

  Orgryte know they aren’t the cream of the Scandinavian crop. It’s unlikely they will stay in this division next season and have a Stoke City type approach from 3 or 4 seasons ago. They battle for the draws and don’t score many goals at all. Orebo despite being 2nd are not tearing the league apart and have found more joy against teams who tend to open up a lot more. We really can’t see many goals in this game and a top defensive display from Orgryte will secure this tip.

  2nd place Curzon Ashton welcome 12th place side Salford City to the Tameside Stadium. In their past 6 meetings the best result Salford have managed to muster is a draw and have lost all other clashes. Curzon have conceded 3 goals in their last 6 home games in which they have won them all. Salford have found the net on the odd occasion on the road this campaign and beaten bottom side Radcliffe 6 games ago. Since their last away win they have picked up 1 point. Curzon are undefeated in the current campaign and we look to keep that trend continuing.
