Rijeka are an outstanding side with one of the best home records in Europe. They are an excellent goal scoring side and are just 1 point off being league leaders in their own division. Their goal scoring average at home is 3.38 and they haven't failed to score in any game this season. Their last 2 home games in the Europa League they put 2 past Sevilla and 3 past Feyenoord. Standard Liege haven't won away in this competition for 12 months and despite getting a great result in the reverse fixture, they are up against it tonight.
Zurich host Apollon and they should win this game, but it won't be easy as shown last time they met back in September when Apollon scored three times to win the game. Apollon have failed to score in Europe since that game, but they do have a decent history of scoring in the competition for a team of their stature. Zurich have kept just one clean sheet in their last 7 games and we think their is decent value on Apollon nicking a goal today, their status in this competition could rely on it.
Brugge are top of the group and top scorers in the group too. They scored 4 last time they played away and should be able to manage one in Torino, especially if they want to hold onto their top spot in the group. Torino have been on a dip in form just lately domestically losing their last two while Brugge have been rampant scoring 13 in their last three games.
All of Krasnodar's home games in the Europa League this campaign have been over 1.5 goals. Krasnodar have scored 14 goals in their 5 matches on home soil. Lille last time out suffered a 3-0 defeat away to Everton. They are not great goal scorers and we fully expect Krasnodar to get at least 2 tonight. It's likely Lille will be limited to few chances with Krasnodar controlling the game.
Celtic are in great home form at present winning all of their last 5 home games in all competitions. They are also undefeated in their only 2 Europa League home games this season since their Champions League exit. Its very rare that Salzburg don't get on the score sheet and after these 2 sides slugged it out for a 2-2 draw in September, we expect both sides to score based on recent form and recent meetings. Salzburg are an exceptional side with a lot of their players being closely monitored by some of the world's top sides.
Wolfsburg were on the end of a 4-1 thrashing last time these 2 sides met at Goodison Park. Everton were outstanding that night and we fancy them to get at least one tonight. Everton are unbeaten in this competition this campaign and they will progress to the next round if they avoid defeat in the Volkswagen arena this evening. There are a few possible doubts for Everton regarding Naismith, Barry and Baines. We find it unlikely they will all miss out.
