Welcome, welcome, welcome!
After a successful first ever NextBet Fifa Tournament we are holding a new Tournament to start in August. This time round we will be making it a premiership tournament to celebrate the start of the new season therefore only Premiership teams are allowed.
Please post your PSN ID when registering and be available on the dates specified below to play.
The Prizes
- 1st Place – £50 Cash Prizes (Paid via PayPal)
- 2nd Place – Phone case of your choice courtesy of Case In Your Face
- 3rd Place – Custom print Tshirt one colour
Signup Rules
- To participate, you need to be a member of NextBet. This is restricted to active NextBet members ONLY.
- No glitching. No lagging. Play properly or don’t play at all.
- Please post your PSN ID when you commit to playing in the tournament. It will be used to setup the tournament.
- The tournament will hold 32 players and will be single elimination. The first 32 members to register will be placed in the tournament. After the 32 spots are filled a reserves list will be kept for all additional entries. The event will span a total of 4 weeks with 16 games the first round, 8 the second round, 4 the third round, 2 the semi-final round and the final and third place play off close off the tournament.

The event will start on Sunday 1st August, fixtures will be posted by 10 AM on the day. They will be picked at random through a script. You’ll have four days to get your games in. Scores for each week must be reported here, try to take a picture of the result just encase proof is required.
1ST ROUND : Starts Thursday 1st August. Final scores must be in by Thursday 8th August 11:00 PM
2ND ROUND : Starts Friday 9th August. Final scores must be in by Thursday 15th August 11:00 PM
QUATER FINAL : Starts Friday 16th August. Final scores must be in by Thursday 22nd August 11:00 PM
SEMI-FINAL : Starts Friday 23rd August. Final scores must be in by Thgursday 29th August 11:00 PM
FINAL & 3RD PLACE PLAYOFF : Starts Friday 30th August. Final scores must be in by Thursday 5th September 11:00 PM - The ties for the following fixtures will be posted on the scheduled dates shown above by 1 PM.
- It is your responsibility to organise and set up your matches within the 6 day span. No exceptions to this rule. If you fail to get your match in you automatically forfeit your match and one of the reserve members will be chosen to move on in the tournament (for continuity)
- You can use this forum, twitter and our private contact form to report issues and scores.
- If there are any left over spots available they will be taken up by NextBet staff.
Specific Game Rules

It is up to you to decide who will host. The following settings must be used. It is up to each member to make sure the proper settings have been used. If they aren’t and you want to dispute the settings that the host created you will need to provide proof that they were incorrect (via photos) otherwise you’ll have to take your loss. There are no exceptions to these rules.
Team Level: PREMIERSHIP TEAMS ONLY
Half Length: 6 Minutes
Controls: Any
Game Speed: Normal - No custom made teams or Virtual Pros.
- If a game ends in a draw extra time counts, if the game is still level then replay the game. Penalty kicks dont count.
- If a player drops out of the game once it has started for any reason (disconnect, lag etc) then you will forfeit the match. Absolutely no exceptions.
- Once again your match must be completed within the time frame. If it is not and we do not receive your final score a reserve member will take the spot in the next week’s bracket.
- Final scores must be reported by the winner (or both if possible) to us on this thread. If there are any disputes over the score then photos of the final score will need to be provided. If visual proof is only provided by one member then that member’s proof will be used; if no visual proof is provided and the dispute cannot be resolved then both members will be disqualified. Please make sure to cover your back and take photos for proof if you’re concerned; otherwise your dispute will be dismissed.
- In the event that both members from a bracket get disqualified for whatever reason a member from the “reserves” list will be allowed to take a spot in the next bracket. This occurence of this should be rare (because everyone should be on their best behavior) but the rule will be set in place so that we aren’t left with a hole in the bracket for the following week. This rule is non-negotiable.
- Please DO NOT post dispute results in the forums. Take it to the contact form or DM on Twitter if there is a real issue.
- There is a strict zero tolerance policy with this tournament. Meaning: if you are going to make allegations of cheating etc then you must provide concrete proof of the issue. If no proof is determined the claim will be dismissed. If further drama ensues then both members from the match will be disqualified, no questions asked. Additionally problems arising out of any misconduct during this tournament will disqualify you for participation in future tournaments. That includes unnecessary complaining, flaming, drama and/or the breaking of ANY rules stated here.
- These rules are completely non-negotiable. We are doing this tournament for your enjoyment, please enjoy it. Don’t stress if you lose, there is always next time to prove your worth!
