Group D top spot is up for grabs tonight as Manchester City travel to Munich to face defending champions, Bayern. City need to win by a 2 goal margin to reach the top but with Pallegrini set to rest his main players ahead of their crucial league encounter with Arsenal at the weekend it will be extremely difficult. We give Bayern the advantage here, at home they are dominant, they are now the first team in history to win 10 games straight in this competition and will look to further this with another tonight. Bayern dominated City in a 3-1 win at the Etihad Stadium and with Pellegrini in a relaxed mood we cannot look past a win.

Real Madrid need just 3 more goals to set a new competition record for the most goals scored in the group stage, should they hit this there is no way Ronaldo stays off the score sheet. Having been rested during the Cup in mid-week Ronaldo is set to start. The reverse fixture ended 4-0 to Madrid and saw both Ronald and Di Maria bag doubles. We expect a win for Madrid tonight but with Copenhagen fighting to enter the Europa League (a draw is enough should Galatasaray fail to pick up anything a tough Juventus side) they may not have it all their own way.

Benfica are favourites to take the crucial 3 points from today’s fixture but we cannot see them having it all their own way, key player Oscar Cardozo (9 goals in 12 games) is set to miss the fixture with an injury along with Ruben Amorim and Ola John, both big names. PSG are set to rest Ibrahimovic but with Cavani as a more than adequate back-up we can see them bagging 1 or 2 tonight.

A two goal win over CSKA will see Plzen take 3rd spot in the group, a placement which will see them enter the Europa league, just a draw is enough for CSKA to take this away from them. Plzen are set to field a fully fit squad and as we know are more than capable of scoring against even the best of teams as shown in Man City's 4-2 win over these. 10 of Plzen’s last 12 champions league games have ended with OVER 2.5 GOALS scored, we expect them to grab at least one today and with CSKA needing the points a fight back would lead to both teams scoring. The last meeting between these two ended 3-2 to CSKA.
