For Fridays international, here’s my research;
Bulgaria – away to Armenia – Need to win to have a chance of qualifying for the play offs, currently second in their group Armenia second bottom.
Ukraine/Poland – Both teams to score – both have an outside chance of qualifying, if Poland win they go into the England game with qualification in their hands (2nd Place)
Denmark/Italy – Both teams to score – Italy are the best team in the group and have qualified, you would expect them to score, Denmark need to take something from the game.
Switzerland – away to Albania – Switz are the best in the group, Albania are second bottom. Albania lost their last 2 games
Turkey – away to Estonia – Turkey currently 3rd in the group, need to win to have a chance of getting in the play offs, they are 1 point behind 2nd (Hungary) who are playing top dogs Holland, also Romania who are level points with Turkey play bottom of league Andorra so Turkey need to win the game.
Romania – Away to Andorra – for the above mentioned reasons, Romania need to win to have any hope of qualifying
Russia – Away to Luxembourg – Currently in pole position to qualify above Portugal, so must win to maintain this position and avoid the play offs.
Portugal & over 2.5 goals – home to Israel – As said above Portugal need to win if they want to finish top (outside chance) Last 4 head to heads there have been over 2.5 goals.
Holland & over 2.5 goals – home to Hungary – Although hungary are second Holland beat them away 4-1 earlier in the campaign, last 5 head to head there have been over 3.5 goals.
Iceland – home to Cyprus – Cyprus are bottom, Iceland are 2nd, Iceland must win in order to stay second as Slovenia and Norway are hot on their heels 1 point and 2 points behind.
Slovenia/Norway – both teams to score – As stated above, both must win in order to have any chance of getting in to the play offs. Norway won the reverse fixture 2-1.
Sweden – home to Austria – Sweden must win in order to maintain 2nd place, Austria are 3rd and can catch Sweden, Sweden need to win to keep in the best 2nd place finishers.
Spain handicap win – home to Belarus – no need to discuss Spain, they beat Belarus 4-0 away some value on a handicap win.
Would say England to win also, but do we want the double heartache of England letting us down and losing us money………….
