Our boys are strong at home, not facing defeat in any of their opening 7 games there and will need to be at their best again to keep up their challenge for a Copa Sudamericana qualification spot and a win here could put them right into the title race.

    Most of you will know about record breaking Roma this season. We looked for some value in this game as a straight win was such poor odds and we found Roma to find the back of the net more than once at decent odds. Roma have managed this in all but one of their games at the Stadio Olimpico this season while keeping clean sheets in every game there. Newly promoted Sassuolo have conceded in 11 of their 6 away days so far this season.

    Man City have had their troubles away this season and they haven’t done too well at the Stadium of Light in recent years, but we’re backing them to put all that behind them and find a sorely needed away win to get their title challenge firmly back on track. Pellegrini's men will be on a high from thrashing Norwich 7-0 last week and then putting 5 past CSKA Moscow in mid-week, that’s 12 in their last 2 games and we don’t think the Premier Leagues worst defence so far will be able to cope with the invention of Silva and finishing powers of Aguero and co.

    Barcelona take on bottom of the league who have 9 players out through injury and suspensions. We expect Messi to find his shooting boots and Barcelona to fire a few in against struggling Betis. Barcelona have won 3 of their last 4 away league games by a -1 handicap or more and they should be able to do it again today. Barca don’t have the greatest record away to Betis, but it’s a little different this year with so many Betis players out at the moment. It’s tight at the top, the league leaders need to keep winning to stay top.

    Both of these teams are in good scoring form as you would expect from the league champions and serious title contenders this year. All of Napoli’s games have been over 1.5 goals so far and they’ve scored in all but one of those games (against the impressive Roma defence). Napoli’s new front line this season have proven to be a potent threat and they are more than capable of finding a goal against Juventus who should have little trouble keeping up their record of scoring in every game this season.

    Two good solid teams here who can both find the back of the net. All of Villarreal’s home games have been over 1.5 goals this season and with 9 different players scoring this season they have certainly spread the goals about. Atletico Madrid’s new strike force is showing itself to be a fantastic duo with 19 goals between Diego Costa and former Barcelona man David Villa, Costa with 13 of those goals – they certainly haven’t missed free-scoring Falcao so far this season.
