  • Pandurii Targu Jiu (DOUBLE CHANCE WIN/DRAW) Best Odds: 1/3 (1.33) bet 365 | Position: n/a | Game: Romania Cup - 4.00 PM KO (Away)
The odds have dropped on this as the bookies reconsider their generosity on this bet. Pandurii Targu Jiu have traveled to Media three times in the past two years and have secured wins on each occasion without conceding a goal. The latest of these meetings was a pre-season friendly earlier this month, which Pandurii Targu Jiu won 1-0. Last season Pandurii Targu Jiu actually won more points away from home than at their own stadium, losing only five of their 17 away league fixtures. Gaz Metan Mediaș finished just one point above the drop zone, failing to win 10 of their 17 home games in the league. Pandurii have managed to retain Brazilian top-scorer Alex (the division’s 4th highest scorer), who will play alongside Lithuanian Deivydas Matulevičius, who netted nine goals in 17 starts last term. Pandurii Targu Jiu will be gunning for European places this season whilst Gaz Metan Media will be happy just to avoid relegation, so a home victory would count as an opening day shock.

  • Bayern Munich (-1.0,-1.5 ASIAN HANDICAP) Best Odds: 59/40 (1.475) bet 365 | Position: n/a | Game: Europe Friendlies - 5.30 PM KO (Away)
For this bet to come in we need a two goal margin of victory, though a one goal margin of victory would give us a half win. The German champions may be playing a team two divisions below them, but the club’s Twitter have confirmed that David Alaba (31 Austria caps) and Holger Badstuber (30 Germany caps) will be at this game, and Robert Lewandowski (165 goals in 301 competitive domestic games) has been training this week and may also feature. Last summer Bayern played four friendlies against domestic opposition and won each game by a four goal margin (their opposition included top-flight Hamburger and Mönchengladbach!). Duisberg’s last friendly this time last week ended in a 2-0 defeat to Heidenheim (second tier) and the same outcome today would win this bet.
  • Nest-Sotra (DOUBLE CHANCE WIN/DRAW) Best Odds: 4/11 (1.36) bet 365 | Position: 8th | Game: Norway Division 1 - 6.00 PM KO (Home)
Nest-Sotra are sitting three points outside the play-offs and a home defeat to relegation threatened Honefoss would certainly be seen as three points wasted in their promotion push. Honefoss have lost five of their seven away games so far, their one victory coming at Ullensaker / Kisa, who are second from bottom in the table. In fact this year their only victory against a club outside of the relegation zone (not including friendlies) has been a home win over Ranheim. Nest-Sotra have Steffen Lie Skålevik up front, who has scored in five of his last six appearances. Nest-Sotra won promotion last season on the strength of their awesome form at Ågotnes, picking up 37 of a possible 39 points. The lowest rank team to win at Nest-Sotra in normal time in the past two years have been Mjøndalen, who are in sixth place with almost double the point tally of Honefoss.
  • FBC Melgar (DRAW NO BET) Best Odds: 4/11 (1.36) bet 365 | Position: 1st | Game: Peru Primera Division - 7.15 PM KO (Home)
Melgar have started the season off on fire with 15 points in 7 games and lead the league despite playing a game less than the chasing pack of four teams. Inti Gas have had a decent start to this season, but two of their recent away victories were at much poorer opposition. When they travelled to mid-table Sporting Cristal they were well beaten 3-0. Inti Gas won only three of their 15 away fixtures last season, so it could be awhile before they pick up another away win. Melgar have been beaten just once at home in the league in the last 16 months and despite finishing 11th they also had only as manage away defeats as champions Real Garcilaso. Their problem last season was in turning draws into wins, so the draw no bet option provides excellent coverage for this bet. New manager Juan Reynoso collected 84 caps for Peru and the 44 year-old has had an excellent start to his management career. He seems to be getting the best out of veteran striker Herlyn Zúñiga, who has now scored as many goals (five) seven games into this season than he managed all of last season (33 appearances). With Zúñiga in form then draws will become victories and should turn this safe bet into profit.

  • Napoli (HALF TIME RESULT) Best Odds: 4/9 (1.44) bet 365 | Position: n/a | Game: Europe Friendlies - 4.30 PM KO (Away)
Napoli host non-league outfit FeralpiSalo today, who last season finished mid-table in the Lega Pro Prima Divisione. The two teams also played a friendly last year, and Napoli won that fixture 5-1 (4-0 at half-time). This year a strong squad have been training again, including Marek Hamsik. The Blues have strengthened this summer, bringing in Michu on loan and spending 10 million Euros on French defender Kalidou Koulibaly. Numerous players who were on loan at other clubs last season can stake their claim for a first team spot to manager Rafa Benitez, such as Chile international Eduardo Vargas and Roberto Insigne (younger brother of Lorenzo). With such a big squad to choose from whoever starts this game should be skilled enough to get the job done before half-time.
  • Geyland International v DPMM FC (OVER 2.5 GOALS) Best Odds: 3/5 (1.6) bet 365 | Position: n/a | Game: Singapore Cup - 1.00 PM KO (Neutral)
The cup usually provides goals and today’s hosts Geyland International have been displaying good attacking football so far in this competition, with all three of their games so far in the League Cup having at least three goals in them. DPMM are the better side, though have yet to keep a clean sheet in this competition with all three of their previous games in the cup seeing at least four goals! In the league both clubs have also been averaging over 2.5 goals a game, with DPMM’s Brazilian talent Rodrigo securing close to a goal a game by himself this year with 16 goals from 18 games. Irishman Roy O'Donovan also has 12 goals from 17 matches. Ten of the last 15 games in this tournament ended with four or more goals.
