European Friendlies - 4.00pm KO (Away)
Metz have finally returned to Ligue 1 after a 6 year absence and the feeling around the club is a good one. Their first opponents for their pre-season is Amneville who now sit 5 divisions beneath them. Metz have recently been ranked in the top 5 for football training centres in France, so they should be well prepared for this one despite it being their first friendly. Metz may not have their full fitness yet, but in terms of quality they should over run their opponents today so we're getting on the half time result.

Norway Division 2 Group 2 - 3.00pm KO (Home)
Herd were promoted last season and as with most sides in this situation they are seriously stuggling to fit in, so far they have played 11 games in their new division, won 2 and lost 7 including their last 5 in a row, considering last time out they faced a side even lower in the table then they are it’s not getting better anytime soon. Elverum are top of the division and in great form, they were relegated last year so realistically there is a whole division gap between these two sides. They have now won won last 4 at home by 2 or more goals and collected 26 points from a possible 33, this really should be a simple victory for the hosts and 1 we will jump on board with.

Norway Division 2 Group 3 - 3.00pm KO (Home)
Egersund haven’t had the best of starts to their campaign and have now lost 3 of the opening 11 games, they are however still unbeaten at home and are free-scoring there - 15 goals in 5 games. Algard are rock bottom right now, they have conceded 14 in 5 away from home and only scored 4 to this point, they are yet to win on the road and do not look good to leave with anything here.

Sweden Allsvenskan - 3.00pm KO (Home)
The Allsvenskan kicks off again today after a month-long World Cup break, all players received a rest before taking up camp in Ronneby, they played a friendly against 10th place Helsingborg and won just 5 days ago so are more than ready to return today. Kalmar need the points in race for the top and should be good for all 3 here against a side which has won just 1 on the road this season and they have beaten in all of the last 4 H2H meetings between the sides.

Slovakia Super Cup - 2.00pm KO (Neutral)
The Slovakian league champions take on domestic cup champions Kosice today for the countries Super Cup, Slovan are in much better form and will be looking for revenge here. Both sides have been contesting friendlies in the build up to this game, Slovan targeted fixtures against stronger Czech sides while Kosice looked to test their wits against 2 Austrian teams and a strong Czech side, safe to say their 10 conceded in 3 games paints the picture of what happened here. Slovan Coach Martin Polaček came out this week to note how his side they were the better last time they met despite the loss, he expects a win here to make his team 7 time winners of the Super Cup

FIFA World Cup - 9.00pm KO (Neutral)
Costa Rica have done incredible to get this far, but it's surely end of the line for them. The South American outfit are yet to play a side of Holland’s quality and while many will argue they have already proven themselves with wins over Italy and Uruguay this just isn’t true, both of these sides were terrible this year and we only need to look at Costa Rica’s draws with both England and Greece to see they are a fairly average, if committed, team. The Dutch have had all of the answers so far in this tournament, Louis van Gaal has proven his worth with perfect tactical changes and today his attack should be too much for a tired looking Costa Rica to handle. Holland are highly fancied to get through this one without too much trouble, they may concede with Campball in fine form but look good for a few themselves.

European Friendlies - 7.00pm KO (Neutral)
Salzburg really have become a world player in recent months, their win over Bayern Munich made people take notice, their domination of the Austrian Bundesliga only furthered their claims. They have played 2 friendlies in the last week picking up an impressive 4-2 win over Shakhtar and a 2-1 win over Anzi most recently, both opponent’s as good as if not better than today’s. Salzburg are well known for their attacking prowess and they look good for a goal or two today. Kaiserslautern played a friendly just 3 days ago and picked up a 9-1 win, albeit against a poor Oberliga side, they are always good for goals and should help this tip in.
